Celtic knot with three points

The triquetra is a symbol that has been found to be in use over thousands of years by Celtic people. It’s three points are significant as the number three was a sacred powerful number. When a circle is interlaced, it symbolizes eternity. Three points indicate different possible meanings:

* Body, Mind & Spirit
* The three realms: Earth, Sea & Sky
* The three aspects of the goddess: Maiden, Mother & Crone
* A complete cycle of past, present and future
* Mother, father and child
* Different social functions: The warlike, the sacred and the fertile
